Coronavirus Global Impact Research Fund at Erasmus University
What are the economic effects of Coronavirus? What effect will the crisis have on the labor market? How do we prevent a second crisis? Is our healthcare well-organized? What does the crisis mean for family businesses? What is the value of contact between people?
Erasmus University scientists can provide answers to these questions. Erasmus University is a scientific leader in medical, economic and business research. Driven by colleagues from sociology, philosophy, law and health sciences, Erasmus University is conducting research into social issues in relation to the coronavirus crisis.
This fund has been set up to support researchers who have commited to focusing on research that will have an immediate impact on society in the middle of the current pandemic. Support from the Erasmus University community will ensure this research can begin immediately.
The fundraising goal of €100,000 will allow us to finance six studies.
The coronavirus will be with us for a long time to come and the effects of the crisis caused by the virus will be widespread. Science provides us with the knowledge and insights needed to reset our global compass. We expect the results of the first studies to become clear in the coming months. Beneficiaries will be kept informed of the progress of the investigation. In the spring of 2021, all beneficiaries will be invited to an event to present the main findings of the studies.
